Since I started photography in 2005, I have photographed weddings, special occasions, sports & company events, in and around the Western Cape. I feel fortunate to have found a career that allows me to blend all my greatest passions - people, nature & photography.

Whether it's a newly engaged couple, a wedding day where words are spoken that will change lives, that winning moment in a sports championship, or the excitement & anticipation of maternity to those first precious moments of a new born to a breath taking nature scene ~ I will be there to capture all these moments from the tiniest detail to the grand picture, so you will always have that event to look back on.

My approach to photography is fun, creative and a unique blend of photojournalism and editorial styles. I pride myself in being able to press to shutter one micro-second before something is about to happen, collecting all the unscripted, spontaneous moments as they happen. Every photo shoot starts by getting to know each other. Photography is a partnership based on two things ~ Ability & Trust. My ability to think fast, solve problems (should any arise) and with the trust you place in me to capture the right moments in an un-intrusive calm manner.

Mel was an absolute gem. She made the whole experience seem and feel so effortless. She was literally a part of our reception and just gelled with everyone. We couldn't believe the quality of the images...I honestly can't remember any of the 'Poses' ... we were very surprised and delighted when she brought our CD with all the photo's she had taken as well as some that she had 'Reworked', .i.e. put her special stamp on it. There are some truly magical photographs that we will treasure forever. Mel is definitely a photographer we can and will recommend to anyone.
